What is Kairos?

The first Kairos was presented in 1979. Kairos Prison Ministry International is active in more than 300 sites in 33 states and in Australia, Canada, England, Costa Rica and South Africa. Kairos does this with a paid staff of eight people and more than 20,000 volunteers who pay for the 618 weekends presented each year.

Recidivism studies in Florida and South Carolina found that Kairos experience brought a drop in recidivism of about one-third when compared to a control group.

For information on Kairos in Alabama, contact state chairperson Michael Lynn Holmes at graphicconcepts@bellsouth.net or David Stratford at Staton prison at computersandmore@hotmail.com.

To donate by phone call Paul McGlone, Kairos Development director at (407) 538-5770. Send checks to Kairos Prison Ministry International, 6903 University Blvd., Winter Park FL 32792. It is a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) charitable organization.
