February 2018 Blotter

On February 10, 2018, members from COPS ministry responded to the Great State of Arkansas to minister to the men in that are incarcerated in the prisons.  This was the 17th year in a row that members from COPS ministry have been there.  The team went to Cummins Prison, Brickeys Prison, Ouachita River Prison, Tucker Prison and Wrightsville.  They ministered to 471 people.  19 men gave their lives to Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior and 46 men rededicated their lives to the Lord.  We are so grateful for what God did.

During one of our services, an inmate was agitated when he found out that we were police officers.  He kept getting up trying to leave the service but was told to sit down by the officer because the count had not cleared.  After count he left the service.  He did not stay long enough to see that we were not there to judge him but to share the love of Jesus Christ with him.

We met other inmates that were from Riverside, San Bernardino and Northern California.

We are always blessed when our friend brother Lewis Jared meets up with us when we get to town.  Lewis loves the Lord and he is a volunteer for the Arkansas Department of Corrections.   On our final night, he brought us BBQ ribs, chicken, hot links, mac and cheese, southern green beans, banana pudding, bunt cake and soda.  We have a great time breaking bread with him.  We consider him part of COPS ministry.

Please continue to keep COPS ministry in your prayers.  May God bless you.
